1. Parking in orchard road in the day is farking expensive. 313 costs $3 first hour, and then $1.50 every half hour or part therefore. That day eat marche in 313 and play pool in cineleisure, park roughly 1plus to about 6pm, total parking costs: $14.50! blardee hell.
1.b. The waffle + ice-cream at marche is to die for. Must eat more.
2. Tried this pasta place at upper bukit timah road quite some time back:
PastaFresca
Hungrygowhere Link
Review: first impression was not bad, a classy little place along the bukit timah stretch, with a quite old style italian decor. I had pasta with shredded crab meat (forgot the name) and it was pretty good, think it was tomato-ish based with tint of spiciness, and can taste the crab bits each mouthful. Dun remember what the missus had, but it was yummy and filled with bacon. Also, we can see the kitchen tru the glass windows and surprisingly, i saw some of them handmaking the pasta. That probably accounts for as to why the pasta was incredibly filling and wonderfully chewy, qualities u hardly find in those normal restaurants that used factory made pasta(like Spaghetties) . Highly recommend to try it at least once. Next time, those normal pasta wont satisfy me as much. Blah.
3. Warehouse sale! Went to expo for the Robinson warehouse sale over the weekend, got quite a lot of cheap crap that last time wont want to buy, like our miss tan here bought 4 new-urban-male snoopy print tshirt at $25 each, not really very the cheap, but it was selling for a ridiculous and absurd $59 each outside.
Also bought a foldable bike at $79, some junk food at $1 each, a pair of flipflops at $19 and probably some more stuff i dun remember. Case in point : lots of stuff to bring home.
Too bad missed the KateSpade warehouse sale the day before, hah.
4. And on the same day,
went to impulse buy a 32in Toshiba Rezza 32AV550E LCD TV.
It was part of a display set sale at this shop in AMK, and despite it being a 2-3month old display set, it was in really good condition, and still got 1 year warranty.
Best part?
Cost me just merely $320.
Three hundred and twenty bucks!
See liao just grab siah, didnt even think.
Now it looks ridiculously huge in my room.Which has no space for it really.
Ridiculous.
But shiok.
4.b. Told jesslin the next day,
she went down and wanted to grab one on the following day,
but all that toshiba model sold out liao.
So she picked up a 32" Sanyo LCD-32K20 .
For $300.
Which comes with a 3 year warranty.
Crazy right?
There's more of the same model if anyone is interested.
Great buy really. The warranty just sweetens the deal even more.
Anybody want cheap TV and other electronic appliances?
Its at the electronic store facing the main road/opp macdonalds, next to Kbox Plaza at AMK. Dun say I neber share. Big sale there.
