Random updates for May

Seems like a long time has passed since the last update, gotta dust off all the cobwebs lying around here already, if not later maddie take me off her blog link for "lack of updates" >_>...

Finally got time to sit down and do nothing and relax. Ah...
Can play game, can watch movie, no need to study or work, until other pple start to complain...

Now that have already settled in at buangkok, so what needs to be done has already been done. Updating addresses is a chore, esp different companies have different forms and ways to update.

Speaking of updates, ever feel like "blogging" abt something when outside, and then as the hours pass and u reach home, and forgot all about it? Yeah, that s why i almost never update. LOL

Random rants:
1. Timbre at Old school sucks. Went on a friday night quite some time ago. Their pizza is burnt, their cocktail and shots tastes crappy(and the menu here is more limited than other branches), not to mention the service is slow, and the live band for that night is terrible. Better stick to Substation or Clarke Quay. Old School Timbre is on my condemned list. And Jess is a terrible drinker, after just 3 shots, she was almost knocked out and subsequently merlion-ed.

2. Stupid ass copy DRMS and used game protections from Ubisoft and EA. Ubisoft have a long history of using stupid ass copy protection like Starforce, and currently their latest move is to make you stay constantly online to ping the DRM server constantly while under the pretense of saving your game. The games will be unplayable whenever the DRM server goes down, like say under maintainence, hacking, DDOS attacks or just plain shut down when its not profitable anymore. Its claimed to be undefeatable, until the lastest cracks showed up: they reroute the online authentication to a local virtual server and store the save games locally too.
As one pirate gamer says "This is fine, I only have to access the Internet once to get Ubisoft games. You're the ones paying for a broken copy."

Now EA on the other hand, is targeting another "possible source of revenue" - the used game market. Their 10-dollar project is targeted at the used game market and works by offering a download code in each game. The multi-player or other essential part of the games are unlocked by this download code, which can only be used ONCE. After that, if u sold away the game, the next gamer will not be able to use it, hell you wont even be able to lend it to your friends to play!
Anybody else who uses that disc (used game, loans, rentals etc) have to go online and pay $10 to get that stinking code! Can u say "Corporate greed" !?

Oh well, from now on, I'm banning all ubisoft games, and any EA games that uses that stupid $10 code.

3. Why are almost all the foodcourt in Hougang, Buangkok and Punggol run by Kopitiam ? Every single foodcourt or coffeeshop in that blardee area is a Kopitiam branch and its really annoying, u get almost the same food stalls in every branch, who is the MP here har, let kopitiam take over virtually every crook and corner of buangkok, Aside from "Kopitiam Square" in Sengkang, hell there is even a "Kopitiam City" here in Buangkok. -_-
Added: Kopitiam is a Pte Ltd, so cant see who is sitting on the boards, sekali got some "connections" there... Haha

4. And NTUC also! There's like 5 NTUC in hougang/buangkok - Hougang Point, Hougang Mall, KangKar Mall, Hougang Ave6, Kopitiam City, etc... not including the Cheers and NTUC express outlets...
